These waves spread rapidly towards the coast and cause great damage to the coastal areas. The main causes of tsunamis are seafloor earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tectonic movements, and other large forces that occur on the seafloor. Once these tsunami waves reach the coast, they destroy everything in the area – life, property, and the environment are severely affected. Disasters caused by tsunamis are far-reaching. There is an immediate impact on the people who live on the beach, but the environment is also destroyed at the same time.
