आर्थिक वृद्धी ची व्याख्या आर्थिक वृद्धी ही आकार किंवा संख्या दर्शवते. म्हणून वास्तव राष्ट्रीय उत्पन्नातील वाढ म्हणजे आर्थिक वृद्धी होय. आर्थिक वृद्धी या संकल्पनेचा संबंध विकसित राष्ट्रांची जोडला जातो. विकसित राष्ट्रांतील विकास आर्थिक वृद्धी या नावाने ओळखला जातो. आर्थिक विकास आर्थिक वृद्धी या दोन संकल्पना समान अर्थाने वापरले जात असल्या तरी त्यामध्ये काही फरक देखील आढळून येतो. प्रो. शुम्पिटर, प्रो. एडिसन, श्रीमती हिक्स आणि प्रो . जे. के मेहता यांच्या मते आर्थिक विकास आणि आर्थिक वृद्धी या वेगवेगळ्या दोन संकल्पना आहेत. म्हणून आर्थिक पद्धतीचा अभ्यास स्वतंत्रपणे करण्याची आवश्यकता आहे असे प्रतिपादन करण्यात आले. त्यावरून अनेक अर्थशास्त्रज्ञांनी आपापल्या परीने आर्थिक वृद्धीची व्याख्या पुढीलप्रमाणे केल्या आहेत. 1) जे.के मेहता- 'आर्थिक वृद्धी ही राष्ट्रीय उत्पन्नातील संख्यात्मक वाढ दर्शवते.' 2) किंडल बज्रर - 'आर्थिक वृद्धी म्हणजे उत्पन्नातील वाढ होईल.' 3) श्रीमती हिक्स - ' विकसित राष्ट्रातील वाढीच्या प्रक्रियेला आर्थिक वृद्धी म्हणतात.' 4) शिंम्टिर - ' आर्थिक व...
