Ans- The poem The pulley', is a fine piece of composition written by George Herbert. He is a religious poet. This poem is about a man's soul, which is compared to a pulley. In this poem, the poet compares God to the pulley and 'God' is working like the pulley who pulls out each sacred gift from a glass brimming over until he comes to the last one. At the outset of the poem, the poet expresses that when God first made mankind he wants to pour all of his blessings into a man. He thought that with these certain unique qualities his life would be happy. God decides to give him all of his riches because God feels that this man is worthy of these riches.
